Gilbert Adairs berühmter Roman, der zuerst 1999 auf Deutsch erschien und ein grosser Erfolg wurde, ist ein Kammerspiel, das sich zum handfesten Krimi, zu einem „Höllengewächs“ (Michael Maar) wandelt. Voller literarischer Anspielungen und Scherze, ist „Blindband“ nicht nur ein faszinierender Roman über Schreiben und Leben, über Blindheit im wörtlichen und übertragenen Sinne, über Einsamkeit und Ruhm, sondern ein Meisterwerk der Spannung, des genialen Plots.
